What is clipping?
Clipping (or image clipping) is a photo-editing technique used to separate objects or people from their backgrounds.
What kind of clipping do you specialize in?
Most of our clients use our services to isolate the main subject of a picture from the background. We use different techniques for background removal. However, we offer other services apart from clipping. We work with versatile artists who are delighted to put their editing skills at your disposal … all you have to do is ask!
How do I start? Who do I send my photos to?
Once you’ve created an account, you can upload your photos directly on our website. And, if you experience any difficulties, simply contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for step-by-step guidance from a member of our support team.
What are your turnaround times for cropping, clipping and retouching?
Turnaround time for each of our services is usually 24 hours – and never more than 48. Whatever the case, before we start your job, we will let you know how long it will take.
How will I receive my clipped image?
Once the clipping is completed, you can access your account and directly download your clipped photo. For projects involving a very large number of pictures, we can burn them onto a CD or upload them onto an FTP server from where you can download everything in one .zip or .rar file. You will be notified by email or phone as soon as your photos are ready.
Who does the work?
The work is carried out by a team of artists located all over the world. They have been selected on the basis of their skills and the standard of living of their countries. This way, everyone’s a winner. Our artists are paid more than the norm for their country, and you make substantial savings.
In which format can you deliver my files?
• Photoshop (.psd)
• Portable Document Format (.pdf)
• Several other formats are possible (please contact with your requirements)
Unless you specify otherwise, the default format is .psd.
How much does it cost?
Your first clipping is free, after which prices depend on the complexity of your images. Please check out our price list for details.
How do I pay you?
You will need to log in to your account and click the payment button. You can pay by check, bank transfer or other method. Contact us to arrange a solution that is most convenient for you.
Do I have to pay for changes?
Minor changes required because a photo has been cut badly or because the instructions were misheard are free of charge. Larger changes are charged according to the time required to carry them out.
Do you keep a copy of my work?
Images and designs are safeguarded while your order is in progress. We also keep a backup copy of the finished file because our clients often ask for them if the original gets lost, damaged or deleted. Of course, these images belong to you entirely.
Do you offer a discount for large orders?
Yes, we do. If you tell us the quantity and your deadline, we will prepare a quotation based on the amount of photos. And, of course, you will of course get a discount, which we hope will encourage you to work with us on a regular basis.
I regularly need this kind of work doing, am I entitled to a discount?
Our prices are already the lowest on the market for this quality of clipping service. However, if you regularly put in large orders, we are willing to renegotiate the price of our services.
What file formats do you accept for images to be clipped?
We accept all formats: JPEG, GIF, EPS, PNG, TIF and more.
Can you adjust the margins and the size of images for a website?
Yes, we can, on request, once your images have been cropped and placed on a white background, we can reframe, recenter and resize according to your instructions.
After your pictures have been clipped, we resize and recenter them, with a 10% margin, on a square white background of 500 x 500 pixels.
The surcharge for a single format is 10% on top of the cost of clipping.
If several types of formatting are required (thumbnail, normal, zoom, etc …) it is necessary to carry out other operations apart from basic clipping. In such cases, the surcharge for the additional formatting will be charged per image and confirmed in a quotation.
We just need the clipping paths (without changing the background). Is this possible?
Absolutely. For printing, we generally deliver the original images with clipping paths and without removing the background (unless instructed otherwise).
For use on websites, we return your clipped images on a white background (unless instructed otherwise).
In all cases, we are very flexible. You tell us what you want, and we’ll do it.
If you have any doubts, we’re happy to advise you.
If you have any doubt, we will guide you.
Can we specify the color of the image backgrounds for our website?
Of course. We can put your images on any color of background you specify.
We can also put your images on a transparent background. Your images will then automatically have the background color of your web pages. Images destined for the web are optimized in PNG or GIF format.
Nevertheless, clipped images on a white background remain the standard when highlighting objects for marketing purposes, and we highly recommend it.
What if I want more than just clipping?
Apart from clipping, we provide a wide range of other photo-editing services. Simply send your request by email or over the phone. The price will depend on what you want, the deadline and the quantity. We love a challenge, so we rarely refuse orders.
Are your clipping paths compatible with Mac?
